I prefer not to use Flash. Flash prevents a site from reaching a wider audience as a few people are still using dial up.
flash sites are horrible to rank because of the lack of content. The best you can do is add a html version of the site as an option or in the sitemap (so it can get indexed and found by the search engine spiders) then follow these tips:

-Make sure relevant content is text in the .swf files
- Create a Sitemap
-Create plenty of descriptive text & meta info for the header of the page
-Put user prompts such as “skip intro” as graphical content
-Category links in html as a footer on each page
-Make sure that the title tags are keyword rich sentences and specific for all pages
-Develop backlinks to the site for your keywords.
